College after 50
I started college when I was 48 and I wanted to advance in my job financially. I accomplished that and more. I went to school for two years and increased my income by 70%. Unfortunately, I decided I should finish what I started and I am still going to school five years later. I am now 53 and I find that I enjoy school more than I ever did when I had to go to school. Given the current economic outlook it is hard to say if I would be able to find a new experience in a job to find out how some of my new found knowledge might come in handy but I still enjoy the experience of offering my brain exercises (some times they are muscle man proportion). I would encourage any one to go back to school no matter how old you are because if it doesn't do anything else it gives you a little sharper edge in your thinking and renewing some of the techniques from "the old school". If you mix some of the new with some of the old, you will have a winning approach a lot of adventures in your life.
